Our Brushed and Oiled Oak flooring is the perfect choice for those who appreciate the raw, organic beauty of natural timber. During production, the surface of each plank is meticulously wire-brushed to lift away the softer springwood, leaving behind a subtle, textured grain that mirrors the authentic feel of reclaimed wood. This tactile finish not only highlights the unique structural patterns of the oak but is also remarkably practical, as the texture naturally disguises everyday micro-scratches and footprints. The result is a floor that feels grounded and warm underfoot, adding a sophisticated, rustic dimension to any room.
To preserve and enhance this natural character, the wood is treated with multiple layers of a deep-penetrating oil that soaks into the fibers rather than sitting on top. This traditional finish allows the oak to "breathe" and develop a rich, lived-in patina over time, ensuring the floor only looks better as it ages. Unlike lacquered surfaces, an oiled finish offers the significant advantage of easy spot-repair; minor scuffs can be locally buffed and re-oiled without the need to sand back the entire room. It is a premium, high-end flooring solution for those who want a lifetime floor that celebrates the true essence of real oak.

Help Measuring
Working out the quantity of flooring you need is really dependant on the layout of your room.
Rectangular rooms can be calculated easily by multiplying the length by width. If your room is L-shaped, or has alcoves or bay windows, you need to divide your room into separate smaller areas, adding these together to come to your final quantity. Don’t forget to add at least 10% to your final quantity for any wastage.
